Styrodur, from BASF is the next generation in extruded polystyrene. It is the preferred polystyrene for those who are environmentally aware. Unlike most XPS products which are blown with HFC's or HCFC's, Styrodur is ODP chemical free; it is in fact blown with air.
For over forty years, Styrodur® C has been the first choice of architects and engineers for protecting building from extremes of temperature and from moisture. Styrodur® C conforms to building standards all over Europe and fulfils the demands of different climatic conditions. Styrodur® C is environmentally friendly: it is free of ozone-depleting CFC, HCFC, and HFC. Its cells are filled with air.
Environmental Concerns
Buildings that are insulated with Styrodur® C are more healthy and comfortable to live in, and the fabric of the building is protected from the effects of high and low temperatures and from moisture.

Manufactured under ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, Dow products also operate with Environmental management system with ISO 14001:2004(BSI certificate EMS 547690). Besides this it abides by BS EN 13164:2008 Thermal Insulation products for building and meet environmental standards by complying with requirements of EC regulation no 2037/2000
