Gyproc Carlite Finish Plaster is a market favourite and provides an impeccable smooth and flat surface regardless of the backgrounds and linings. Its multi-use has won over many seasoned plasterers who appreciate the polished result it offers and its ease of use, allowing for more in the mix. It is well able to handle high suction backgrounds such as sand and cement.
As a lightweight plaster, Gyproc Carlite was originally intended for high-rise buildings and boasting improved insulation properties, it is widely considered the creme de la creme when it comes to finish plaster among plastering snobs.
To prepare Gypsum plaster just add clean water to the mix and start the mixing by hand or with a whisk in order to shorten the process. Upon reaching the right consistency you can start applying it to your internal walls. Be mindful of over-mixing as this will negatively impact setting times and make it harder to deliver a flat finish.
Each piece of equipment should be washed after a new mix rather than just before to further reduce the risk of contamination from previous mixes.
Carlite Finish plaster bags are sold in bags of 25kg, with 63 bags per pallet, and have a 6 month shelf life.
