Celotex Crown Up is a product which is newly introduced in the market and it is highly recommended for the purpose of flat roof insulation. This product which is highly revolutionary represents the next phase of innovation which comes from the Celotex stable. The advantage which this insulation sheet brings is it is made up of polyisocyanurate (which is also referred to as PIR) which offers a high performance and rigidity, while delivering a high dimensional stability while adding a good amount of robustness.



Product Description



Celotex Crown Up is basically a purpose designed PIR flat roofing insulation board used in building up flat roof applications, thanks to its rigidity. It can even be used for intense operations such as hot applied pour & mastic or roll asphalt systems. This high performance PIR flat roofing insulation board features a coated glass tissue facer on both sides with a compressive strength of around 150 kPa. This high strength adds robustness and provides an increased dimensional stability to the product. This product is suitable for timber, fully sealed metal and concrete decks using mastic asphalt or bituminous systems.

Celotex Crown Fix single ply PIR flat roofing boards typically can be categorized into three categories-


1) Crown-Up (UP0100)- It is a product which has board dimensions of 6 x 0.6 x 1.2m which equals to 4.32m². It has a thickness of 100 mm with a λ Value of 0.025-0.027 w/mK. The R-value for this product is 3.80m²K/W with a U-Value of around 0.26W/m²K. The weight for this product is around 4.29 kg/m² with the unit weight being 18.53 kg.


2) Crown-Up (UP0120)- It is a product which has board dimensions of 5 x 0.6 x 1.2m which equals to 3.6 m². It has a thickness of 120 mm with a λ Value of 0.025-0.027 w/mK. The R-value for this product is 4.80m²K/W with a U-Value of around 0.21 W/m²K. The weight for this product is around 5.06 kg/m² with the unit weight being 18.22 kg.


3) Crown-Up (UP0150)- It is a product which has board dimensions of 4 x 0.6 x 1.2m which equals to 2.88 m². It has a thickness of 150 mm with a λ Value of 0.025-0.027 w/mK. The R-value for this product is 6 m²K/W with a U-Value of around 0.17 W/m²K. The weight for this product is around 6.22 kg/m² with the unit weight being 17.91 kg



Installation of products



Celotex crown up product can be installed using the instructions provided in the product datasheets. This product despite the rigidity on offer, should not be installed in those areas where there is a frequent and high amount of temperature variance. When possible, this product must be installed using a fine toothed saw which helps one minimize the dust created. While cutting, face masks, eye protection and dust extraction equipment must be used such that dust does not enter the eyes and if it does, one should use liberal quantity of water to wash it. One needs to take extra care when it comes to handling the packages, as they should not be dropped on their edges or corners.
