Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is an engineered wood based panel where strands of wood are laid in cross oriented layers and bonded with ECO resin. This results in a strong board that resists moisture, giving it a high load capacity. Typical uses would include timber frame buildings, roofing, sarking, site hoardings & flooring. 

Built to perform in humid environments, OSB3 is the alternative to plywood and is suitable for both interior and exterior structural applications such as roofing, flooring, wall sheathing and hoarding.

For those looking for sustainable materials, OSB3 boards are a perfect choice. They are manufactured using quickly-growing and small trees from a sustainable forest. OSB3 may have a rough and variegated surface but the texture and form of the board can be changed by primer or a latex or oil-based paint. For outside use, remember to coat or prime with weather-proof paint to make it waterproof.

OSB3 board is a strong, versatile board suitable for structural use in humid conditions and in keeping with current construction methods of working towards healthier homes.

OSB3 has many packaging and sheathing uses where a solid faced panel is required. The product is made to very strict manufacturing tolerances, is easy to cut and can be painted to give a durable finish.

  • The panel is easy to saw, drill, nail, plane or sand. Nails can be driven as close as 8mm from the panel edge without splitting
  • Panels may be glued with any PVA adhesive recommended for wood, and painted with any quality wood paint system
